Siskiyou supervisors updated on wolf/livestock program

The board heard from Siskiyou County rancher Mark Coats and UC Cooperative Extension livestock and natural resources advisor Carssa Koopmann Rivers regarding the Working Circle Program, a collaborative effort between ranchers and environmental agencies working under the Endangered Species Act to reduce clashes between wolves and livestock…Their involvement in the effort, he noted, has meant increased labor, costs and management for producers.
